Because a single dress typically weighs around 1 kilogram (with packaging), it absorbs the entire fixed base charge on its own. That's why shipping a single item can sometimes feel disproportionate to the price of the dress.

Once the base charge of the first kilogram is covered, couriers offer heavily discounted rates for every additional kilogram. That base cost gets divided across all the pieces in your order.
You pay the entire undivided base rate for the first kilogram.
